Devil's Path NY
Expedition Date: November 8th-10th 2010

It all began Friday night Nov. 8th at 8:30pm on Prediger Road trail head. This night we summated Indian Head Mt. at around 12:30am and continued to Jimmy Dolan's Notch 4.5 miles from are start. Once we made it to Jimmy Dolan's Notch we set up camp for the night. This was around 1-2am with below freezing conditions. What a first night! At this point we new this trip wasn't gonna be easy...

Hi, how did your dogs do on the devil's path? I was thinking of bringing my dog, but she doesn't do well when there's rock scrambling (nor does she like to be carried). Thanks!

DeleteThe dogs did amazing although they both love rock scrambling and multi day trips. There were some spots where we had to harness them in and pull them up and over a few faces. They didn't like that much but were calm enough to get through it. By the end of the 3rd day we all had blisters including the dogs. Both dogs slept for days once we got home. It was rough but enjoyable. Best of luck to you.
